Ecclesiastes 3:11 AMP
[11] He has made everything beautiful and appropriate in its time. He has also planted eternity [a sense of divine purpose] in the human heart [a mysterious longing which nothing under the sun can satisfy, except God]—yet man cannot find out (comprehend, grasp) what God has done (His overall plan) from the beginning to the end.

Continuing from yesterday’s theme of timing and trusting God, we’re back in ecclesiastes, same chapter but further down in verse 11.

Which kicks off with that word “everything”.
Everything means all-encompassing, absolutely nothing is excluded.

Followed quickly by “beautiful and appropriate”
Both these words are lovely and its a sweet thought to consider that Gods wants things to happen beautifully and appropriately.
But my eye was drawn to that word “and ” as in, maybe both conditions must br met, first.
And, not,” or”.

We all know in its time actually means, in God’s perfect time.

There’s a huge difference between planting and scattering seeds.
The former is intentional while the latter is careless.

If our hearts are gardens, God has carefully planted eternity in each individual heart.
This concept, referred to above as eternity in the human heart, is this deep, divine awareness that there is more to life than this physical world, that we’re all here for a purpose bigger than ourselves.

This purpose is closely linked to God, hence God satisfying our souls more than anything else under the sun.
He is that” food you know nothing about” that Jesus was referring to in John 4:32

Yet,despite all this, we cannot fully grasp, like a difficult concept in school, we cannot grasp God’s overall plan.
God’s thoughts and ways are higher than ours (Isaiah 55:8-9).
As usuch in our limited human knowledge, we wouldn’t understand His plan even if He personally came and explained it to us.
