Relax and be patient.
Two things I’ve never known how to do.
Ever.
As a first born daughter, I’m the responsible, proactive one.
So, I totally understand the anxiety the disciples felt after Good Friday.
They feared for their lives, when Jesus meets them, they’re not out in the streets living their best lives.
They’re together in locked room.
Jesus, being God, appears in their midst and tells them peace be still.

Waiting is hard.
The uncertainty is terrifying.
Jesus warned them and prepared them.
But, when the reality you see looks nothing like the reality you were promised, there’s a huge disconnect.
It’s a familiar gap between expectation and reality, a gap we call disappointment.
That led to fear and anxiety.
Studies have shown that some levels of disappointment affect thr human mind the same way ptsd affects the brain.
Its traumatizing.
Worse when the disciples gave up their jobs, their whole lives for this Jesus who has now died.
He’s dead, buried.
He was their living hope and now hope is gone.
But, Sunday is coming and it will be glorious.
You too, like the disciples, please, wait for Sunday.
Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid” (John 14:27).
Fix your eyes on Jesus, seek Him first.
Read the Word, meditate on it. Pray and fast.
These are Christians norms, not radical behaviours reserved for the select few or the clergy.
Br intentional about your quiet time with Jesus and watch how He changes your life.
Be still and wait for Sunday. 🥰♥️🙏🏾
