Philippians 4:6 AMP
[6] Do not be anxious or worried about anything, but in everything [every circumstance and situation] by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, continue to make your [specific] requests known to God.
What do these verses have in common?
Chilling.
You ever look at a newborn baby sleeping?
Fast asleep, totally at peace.
Dreaming about the angels, as my mom would say.
Not a care in the world about inflation or the price of petrol.
Firstly, because they have no clue what that is and Secondly because well, they’re babies. Even in the rare possibility that they know about these “grand” concepts they trust their caregiver to just sort it out or figure it out and not to put them in harms way. They, the baby, are their, the caregivers, problem.
Whew, English, am I right? (insert chuckle)
Do people still even chuckle these days or is it rather a long nasal exhale and the voice in your head kinda… Giggles??
Anyways, you get my point.
Actually, that wasn’t my point.
My point was, there’s a possiblility..In fact it is more likely than not, that when Jesus slept on the boat, He was in a similar peaceful state.
I say most likely simply because I choose not to assume because, well I wasn’t there.
And since He was 100% God and 100% man, He was still very much aware of what was going on.
Nevertheless, despite knowing, He still managed to sleep.
And you should do the same.
Sleep and sleep peacefully tonight knowing you are God’s problem and He’s already got whatever it is, figured out.
It’s not like staying awake will change anything. Maybe your mood when you wake up will be worse than usual but that’s about it.
Worrying doesn’t improve the future, it just takes away from the past.
So sleep, dearly beloved.
Find rest in knowing that God is in control and nothing takes Him by surprise.
Psalms 4:8 AMP
[8] In peace [and with a tranquil heart] I will both lie down and sleep, For You alone, O Lord, make me dwell in safety and confident trust.

Pray and go to sleep.
